Hebrews is “a complex book,” this year’s Horizons Bible Study author, Melissa Bane Sevier, says. “It’s packed with theology, wisdom, preaching, teaching, encouragement, and warning.” Drawing on her scholarship as a preacher, and taking a creative approach as she does with her own writing and photography, Sevier invites participants to explore the theme of community–called “the cloud of witnesses” in Hebrews–and find ways of approaching this ancient text that are helpful and that inspire hope for our future.
