The Board of Trustees at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary has called The Reverend Bobbi Kaye Jones (MDiv'80) as professor in the Louis H. and Katherine S. Zbinden Distinguished Chair in Pastoral Leadership and Ministry.

Austin Seminary has named Jennifer Owens-Jofré, a 2018 Louisville Institute Postdoctoral Fellow, a visiting assistant professor of practical theology for the next two academic years (2018-19 and 2019-20).

Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary has called the Reverend Bridgett A. Green as assistant professor of New Testament, effective January 1, 2019. A doctoral candidate at Vanderbilt University, Green earned her bachelor's degree (psychology, Spanish) from Davidson College (2000) and her Master of Divinity degree (pastoral care, and New Testament studies) from Princeton Theological Seminary (2005). Her dissertation title is "Luke 18:1-30: The Kingdom of God and Social Relationships."

Professor William Greenway has published a new book, Agape Ethics: Moral Realism and Love for All Life (Cascade, 2016). In line with earlier efforts to articulate a wholly reasonable faith—A Reasonable Belief (WJK, 2015), For the Love of All Creatures (Eerdmans, 2015), and The Challenge of Evil (WJK, 2016)—in Agape Ethics, Greenway develops a compelling argument for the transcending reality of agape and for a spirituality awakened to the sacred value of all life.

Timothy D. Lincoln, Associate Dean for Seminary Effectiveness and Director of the Stitt Library at Austin Seminary, will serve as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the American Theological Library Association, a professional association of over 800 individual, institutional, and affiliate members providing programs, products and services for theological and religious studies libraries and librarians.
