MidWinters, Austin Seminary's annual lecture series and alumni homecoming event, began in 1949. They serve as an opportunity for educational and spiritual sustenance for alumni/ae, students, area pastors, and the public.

Day of Memory | Day of Hope
February 19 & February 21, 2019
Austin Seminary will convene “African American Days of Memory and Hope” commemorations on February 19 and 21, 2019. On these days we will reflect not only on our history regarding African American students, alumni, faculty, trustees, and staff, but also on the future regarding African Americans and Austin Seminary against a horizon of hope. We look forward to your participation in a couple of ways.
Please join us on February 19 for a day dedicated to memory and/or also on February 21 for a day dedicated to hope. Events planned include our annual Martin Luther King Jr. worship service; a panel of former students, faculty, and staff; a presentation on the early history of African American students at Austin Seminary, and a community lunch.
You are a vital part of the Austin Seminary community. We also need and would love your help as we both build our archives and make a collective digital slideshow for the Days of Memory and Hope. Please e-mail your memories, thoughts, photos, or any other artifacts to our Dean of Students, the Rev. Sarah Gaventa.
