Refocus: Postcolonial Mission
REFOCUS: A Learning Community of Care for People Who Work with Youth
Part retreat, part learning intensive—join other youth ministers from the Synod of the Sun to talk with Rev. Bill Buchanan about the past, present, and future of Christian mission. Together, we will explore what it looks like to go beyond colonial paradigms of short-term mission with youth, and instead engage young people in the intersectionality of poverty, race, privilege, and power. We will also dive into the story and call of Scripture as well as the prophetic voices of past and present theologians.
