Healing Trauma: Resources and Coping Strategies

Trauma can overwhelm the nervous system with experiences that are too intense, too fast, or too prolonged, and sometimes even too little or too slow. Whether a single incident or a repeated event, trauma often embeds itself in the body, lingering as a vivid, present experience rather than a distant memory, leaving us feeling powerless, disoriented, or disconnected from ourselves and others.

This workshop offers tools to address our own trauma and equips us to better understand and support the trauma of others through guided techniques and coping strategies. By understanding trauma's lasting imprint, we can cultivate empathy, resilience, and practical support strategies for individuals facing unique struggles, like immigrants who often carry the weight of compounded hardships.
