Finding Connection at the Edges
Faith-based Social Entrepreneurs are a creative, plucky, persevering bunch who don’t always have easy paths to find each other for support. Do you fit this description? If so, this space is for you. Let’s come together online and talk about the work with people who “get it.” We will brain-source challenges, open our hands to share resources, and tend our hearts that fuel our ministries.
Dates: Tuesdays, September 26, October 3, 10, 24, and 31
Time: 1:00 P.M. - 2:30 P.M., Central
Cost: $50 for all sessions, ONLINE
Meet the Facilitator
In addition to holding a faculty appointment in Methodist Studies where she teaches Methodist History, Melissa Wiginton serves as vice president for Education Beyond the Walls at Austin Seminary. She has long stood in the space between the church and the academy, finding the ways that the gifts and struggles of each speak to the other in God’s ecology of institutions. Increasingly, her vocational location invites imagination for what is emerging that will nourish our learning and flourishing. Her inclinations toward bringing people together, organizing structures for learning, using the spoken and written word, and providing cookies serve her well.
