Meet the instructors
David Wallace, MBA, MDiv, is a Minister for an inclusive, non-denominational, spiritual community in Austin, Texas, called Metanoia Journey. David was previously a Director of Baylor University’s Executive MBA Program and has been in senior sales and business development roles. Through a call to help others see that they are not their resumés, he left the corporate world to become a full-time Life Coach in October 2015. He has been a daily meditation practitioner since 2011 and is a Commissioned Presenter of Centering Prayer through Contemplative Outreach. Recognizing that the clients he coached saw more transformation in themselves when they could see their human journey as spiritual, he turned his attention toward starting a spiritual community based on the contemplative practices of Centering Prayer and Inner Work. He completed his MDiv at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2022 and co-founded Metanoia Journey.
A hospital-based internal medicine physician for thirty years, Anna Vu-Wallace, MD, now serves as medical director for Enhabit Hospice based in Austin. She began her meditation study in 2009 with an Eastern practice and is now practicing Centering Prayer daily. She is a Commissioned Presenter of Centering Prayer through Contemplative Outreach. Dr. Vu-Wallace also studied stress-reduction and the relaxation response through the Benson-Henry Institute, Harvard Medical School, and has been studying Inner Work since 2012. After serving in medicine, she recognized healing is more than the physical body. Healing is integrating mind-body-spirit. Together with her husband, David Wallace, she co-founded Metanoia Journey where she is currently one of the facilitators for Inner Work.
