Diversity and the Bible
Christianity is a global faith, reaching back over two millennia. Christianity was present in North America even before there was a United States. Yet, we are theologically divided on the issue of race, with high noon Sunday remaining the most segregated hour in the United States. How did we get here, how do we reclaim the biblical witness of the church as a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural inclusive community for all? That’s what this course is about! In Diversity and the Bible, we will cover the following lessons:
- Lesson 1: A Biblical Understanding of Diversity
- Lesson 2: Uncovering the Lies that Divide Us: Examining How Race Divides Faith
- Lesson 3: Indigenous Theology
- Lesson 4: Black Theology
- Lesson 5: Latine Theology
- Lesson 6: Asian Theology
- Lesson 7: Conclusion: Where Do We Go from Here?
This is a self-paced course and will be available through our platform (currently under construction) this Fall.
