Horizons Bible Study: United Through Christ, Bound to Each Other: Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians

This Bible study explores Paul’s letters in their original context, when early Christians lived with the expectation of Jesus’ imminent return, and connects those hopes to the church’s ongoing witness today. It invites us to wrestle with enduring questions about faithfulness, unity, and how to live as people shaped by the resurrection in a complex world. Rather than offering easy answers, it encourages prayerful reading, thoughtful discussion, and a shared commitment to love as the guiding force in all things.

This in-person workshop is for women serving as clergy and lay persons in their faith community, as well as women serving as leaders of the Horizons Bible study. Registration includes coffee service, refreshments, and lunch.

Presented by: Dr. Sarah Leer

Date: Saturday, August 22, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Location: McCord Community Center, Room 203 at Austin Seminary

Cost: $35 per person
