Biblical Archaeology Society Library

The Biblical Archaeology Society Library is a searchable collection of BAS publications including Biblical Archaeology Review (1975 to present), Bible Review (1985 to 2005 complete) and Archaeology Odyssey (1998 to 2006 complete), as well as video lectures on key issues in archaeology and the Bible and curated topical collections on selected subjects.

Gun Regulation and Legislation in America
Includes periodicals, compiled legislative histories, Congressional hearings, United States Supreme Court briefs, and other materials on regulating firearms in the United States. 

LGBTQ+ Rights
Charts the gay rights movement in America, showing the civil rights codified into law in the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as the inequalities that still exist today. 

Open Society Justice Initiative
Includes reports, handbooks, briefing papers, legal and policy submissions, and fact sheets exploring and advocating on issues of human rights and justice.  

Slavery in America and the World: History, Culture, & Law.
Includes every statute passed by every colony and state on slavery, every federal statute dealing with slavery, and all reported state and federal cases on slavery. 

Civil Rights and Social Justice
Includes hearings and committee prints, legislative histories on the landmark legislations,  reports, briefs from major Supreme Court cases, and publications from the Commission on Civil Rights.

Offers a growing collection of abstracts on current literature devoted to research of the New Testament and the times in which it was formed.

The New York Times U.S. and International editions are available to current students, faculty, and staff through an Austin Seminary / Stitt Library subscription.
