I’m an alum / student at the Seminary of the Southwest / have an Austin Seminary library card. Can I access these e-resources?
Off-campus access to our subscription resources is limited to current Austin Seminary students, faculty, and staff as a condition of our licenses. Alumni should visit our alumni resources page. Other community users, including alumni and SSW students can access these resources on campus from the computers in Stitt Library.
Troubleshooting tips
What is it? How does it work?
Off-Campus Authentication is a subscription service that allows off campus users access to library e-resources such as EBSCO's Atla Religion Database, the EBSCO eBook collection, and Credo Reference. When clicking on a link from off campus, Austin Seminary users will be prompted to enter their username/password to login. Once logged in, the user should be redirected to the resource.
The service verifies your access using your Austin Seminary credentials. Any Off Campus link to library resources will start out with: https://apts.idm.oclc.org/login?url= and continue with the e-resource link.
Ex. https://apts.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://search.credoreference.com/
Faculty or students who want to create a link that they can share with other members of the seminary community for off campus access to an e-resource (through the portal, email, etc.) can follow the instructions here.
