Although the physical library is closed due to COIVD-19, we offer online resources, scanning, and contact-free curbside pickup to provide access to the information you need. Austin Seminary patrons who need access to our print or physical materials, as well as materials from the Booher Library at the Seminary of the Southwest, should request them using these forms.
Details about the current logistics of library services can be found in Library Services in a Time of COVID -19 (PDF). Additional details on our COVID-19 policies are below.

In an abundance of caution in light of the spread of COVID-19, and to safeguard the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and guest researchers, the McMillan library, the library’s temporary space in the McMillan Building, will be closed until further notice.
Members of the library staff will continue to be available to assist you via e-mail, but access to the building, and to our circulating collection, will be restricted.
In light of these exceptional circumstances, please note the following:
- If you have any books checked out from the Stitt collections, please hold on to these items for the duration of the time the library is closed.
- We will automatically adjust the due dates on all items that are currently checked out; any book that is currently checked out will not be due until after we reopen.
- The book drop will remain unlocked, but will not be emptied consistently, and items left in the book drop will not be checked in consistently; we therefore ask you to hold on to items you have checked out until after the library reopens.
Effective January 6, 2020, library services are available in the McMillan Building (ground level) as part of the remodeling of the Stitt Library into the Mary and Robert J. Wright Learning and Information Center. The Wright Center will surround and include The David and Jane Stitt Collection. The library supports faculty research and student information needs for the Austin Seminary campus.
