The Truth in Our Stories

Immigration continues to be a complex and polarizing issue. How can we find common ground? Come listen to "The Truth in Our Stories," hear the voices of people directly impacted by immigration, and then consider how we are being called by Christ to respond.

In The Truth in Our Stories online course, you will explore the complexities of immigration through thirteen online modules, each featuring stories told by immigrants and including theological reflection questions. 

You have several options for taking this course:
(1) You can engage in the course individually at your own pace for $25. Click here to purchase access to the course.
(2) You can gather a small group to go through this course with a facilitator provided by EBW. The cost is $55 per person, with a minimum of ten people to form a group. The facilitated group course is designed for use in congregations, youth groups, and with high-school-aged children. Contact us at ebw@austinseminary.edu to discuss!
(3) If you are not affiliated with a group, but want to take this course with others, you can join our waitlist and we will let you know when our next group opens up. The fee is $55 per person and you will not be charged until the course begins. Join the waitlist by emailing ebw@austinseminary.edu

About the Facilitator



Rev. Elizabeth Wright is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. She studied history and public policy at the College of William & Mary before earning a master of divinity from Duke University. She served local congregations for eight years, primarily along the Texas-Mexico border, before taking on the role as first executive director of Austin Region Justice for Our Neighbors in March of 2019.
