Pete Steinke is a church consultant who has also served as a professor, parish pastor, and therapist. He is the author of nine books including the bestseller – Congregational Leadership in Anxious Times. He studied with systems theory guru Dr. Edwin Friedman for nine years. He has received the Doctor of Religion degree and been awarded a Doctor of Letters degree.

He earned the Masters of Education degree from the Presbyterian School of Education. He has spoken to many religious groups and has completed interventions with more than 200 congregations from eight denominations. He initiated the "Healthy Congregations" program and now is Director of New Visions, a project to raise mission awareness and activity. He and his wife reside in Austin, Texas.
