January at Austin Seminary

People often asked if January is a slow time at Austin Seminary. The answer is not at all! The Seminary is buzzing with on-campus January-term courses, two Doctor of Ministry (DMin) sessions, preparation for our annual three-day MidWinters lecture series (January 30-February 1), students traveling across the country and around the world on Jan-term travel seminars and courses, and Spring new student orientation.

We also have a familiar face return to the Austin Seminary campus with the hiring of Lisa Juica (MDiv’11) as the new Admissions Associate. In her new role, she will be recruiting students for master’s-level degree and certificate programs, as well as recruiting participants in the on-campus Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) program. As we welcome Lisa, we are preparing to say farewell to Lana Russell, director of alumni and church relations, as well as David Jones, director of the Doctor of Ministry program. Both will be leaving Austin Seminary to pursue other career opportunities, and they will both be missed!
