Description

Program

You will gather on the Seminary campus for four days, where you will be comfortably housed, well fed, and carefully tended. Each day will include time for silence, for conversation, and for reflection. You will begin and end your day with prayer and learn new spiritual practices focused on the body, heart, mind, and soul.  Mark Yaconelli, founder of The Hearth, will lead you in slowing down and listening deeply to yourself and to one other. Over dinner, you will be joined by Seminary professors for an hour of intentional conversation.

Expect a few surprises, too.

After leaving the space created while at the Seminary, you will be supported in staying connected and making intentional soul stops along the road of ministry.

Outcomes

At the end of one year of Soul Stops, you will have:

  • Increased vitality (by your self-defined measures)
  • At least two peer companions in ministry with whom you can share honestly
  • One new idea, practice, or experiment that gives you new energy
