MDiv / MBA Dual Degree

This dual degree allows our students to continue to live and learn in community, being formed for the ministry of the gospel while preparing themselves to be better financial and administrative leaders. Students engaging in this degree will be equipped with professional knowledge and skills to help them bring an ethical mindset to the industries or organizations they will work with.

The Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Austin Seminary, combined with the Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Schreiner University, is in response to the growing demand for faith-based leaders of non-profit agencies; bi-vocational pastors; faith-based entrepreneurship; and the needs of seminary graduates entering solo pastorates. The dual-degree program allows for the development of business acumen and ethics, and prepares graduates for ongoing leadership in both secular and faith-based communities.

The MDiv/ MBA Dual Degree program begins in Fall 2025, and interweaves the 78*-credit hour in-person Master of Divinity degree with Schreiner University’s 36-credit hour online MBA in Ethical Leadership. Students finish both degrees in four years while in residence at Austin Seminary.

*Note: Starting in Fall 2025, the requirement for the MDiv degree at Austin Seminary will be 78 credit hours.
