Master of Arts in Religion
In this eighteen-month master’s program, you will deepen your basic knowledge of the Bible and the history of theological thought under the guidance of professors and within a community that is deeply committed to the life of the mind and the holiness of the church.
The Master of Arts in Religion degree, or MAR, is a general academic degree designed to deepen students' basic knowledge in the biblical and theological disciplines. The MAR degree is expected to achieve the following goals:
- promote theological comprehension by requiring a broad, foundational study in Bible, theology, and church history;
- strengthen students’ skills in research and critical thinking; and
- assist students to grow in spiritual and moral depth.
