Riccobene is a 1967 graduate of Austin College, Sherman, TX and a 1991 graduate of Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He was ordained in 1991 by Philadelphia Presbytery as an Associate for Older Adult Ministry at The Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Bryn Mawr, PA. Riccobene has been a keynote speaker at Montreat Older Adult Conference and also at the Mo Ranch Older Adult Conference. He has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Austin Seminary for five years. He has taught Ministry With Older Adults. In 1999, he published Are Your Affairs in Order? as part of the Older Adult Issues Series. (Geneva Press, Louisville) He participated in Princeton Theological Seminary's National Interfaith Council on Aging’s Older Adult Ministry Consultation in 2007 and serves as an Associate for Congregational Care at First Presbyterian Church, Austin, TX.
Sam spends his time riding his bicycle for local charities including Hill Country Ride for AIDS, is on the Advisory Board for the Institute of Interfaith Dialog, is active in creation stewardship issues in the community and church, serves as an election judge for Travis County, TX, and in his spare time loves to cook and play with his two granddaughters. Sam and his wife, Gretta, have two daughters who both live in Austin with their families.
