Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary seeks applicants for the
position of Academic Dean. The Dean will be responsible for the
effective administration of the academic affairs of the Seminary,
including both degree and non-degree programs. Strong applicants will
have: (1) demonstrated excellence in teaching; (2) administrative
expertise, and (3) scholarly publications.The Dean will be engaged in
faculty development and strategic planning and will work with the
assistance of the Faculty, the Associate Deans, the Registrar, the
Directors of non-degree programs, and the Doctor of Ministry Director.

Director of Lifelong Learning
Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary seeks applicants for the position of Director of Lifelong Learning. The Director is responsible for the design and implementation of the Seminary’s College of Pastoral Leaders program as well as developing and coordinating continuing education courses and events. The position requires a graduate theological degree (MA, MRE, MDiv and/or DMin), at least five years of full-time professional experience in ministry, knowledge of the professional development needs of church leaders and congregational life, and an understanding of the relationships between church leaders and seminaries, congregations and judicatories. Responsibilities for this position include writing for an annual publication, planning and hosting a large annual conference and numerous smaller events, and coordinating with the faculty and administration of the Seminary in its offering of educational opportunities to a broad ecclesial audience. The successful candidate for the position will be energetic, creative, organized, and familiar with social networking and marketing. The successful candidate will have experience writing for church audiences, and may perform some grant writing. The Director supervises one administrative assistant. Some out of town travel will be required.
