College of Pastoral Leaders

A Welcome from the Principal

Greetings,

What is pastoral excellence? There is a unique answer for everyone. It is a question I ask you to ask yourself and others. Embrace the idea of excellence and discover ways to invigorate your lives and ministries. Use your imagination. Go ahead and dream! The College of Pastoral Leaders (CPL) at Austin Seminary is funded by the generosity of the Lily Endowment Inc. and gives financial support to self-selected groups of ministers throughout the United States.

Each year the CPL has a limited number of two-year grants to award. Over 200 ministers from 23 denominations and 32 states have been served by CPL thus far. I encourage you to gather together with clergy friends and imagine what you need to rest, to be encouraged, to become invigorated, to find spiritual rejuvenation, to laugh, and to learn. Our desire is to hear the stories of transformation and hope that have come from cohort members of the College of Pastoral Leaders. We hope you will take the time to participate in this life-giving opportunity.

Sincerely,
Janet Maykus
Principal / College of Pastoral Leaders
