Faculty Position in Evangelism and Mission
Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary announces a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Evangelism and Mission. The person appointed to this position will teach in the areas of evangelism and mission in North American and international contexts. She or he will be a member of the Department of the Church’s Ministry and will teach required and elective courses in master’s-level (MDiv, MATS, MAMP) and DMin degree programs as well as in certificate programs. The successful candidate will be able to relate evangelism and mission to the practical and theological dimensions of congregational and public leadership. Successful candidates will also demonstrate skills in teaching and have strong commitments to scholarship and research. Leadership experience in a local congregation, in church planting, and/or cross-cultural ministry is highly desirable. The PhD or its equivalent (completed or nearly completed) in the field of evangelism, missiology, or a related theological discipline is required. Rank is open, and the person appointed may be considered for appointment to the Lancaster Chair in Evangelism and Mission. Women and racial/ethnic minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
