Raised and theologically trained in a Western paradigm, Dr. Wynand Retief has been moving into the warm heart of Africa– Lusaka, Zambia– since 2006. This lecture, conveyed in typical African narrative style, is a reflection on theological strenghts and weaknesses of the Church in the Black Southern African region. He draws from real life observations over a six-year period, as well as relevant documentation. Come and hear why and how the Church and theology in Africa live through death and the challenges it poses to us.
