Kindred Spirits

MISSON STATEMENT: The idea of kindred spirits permeates the writing of L.M. Montgomery, an author from whom we have derived our group name. The kindred spirits in her stories were people who were flawed and proud, yet trusted their problems into the hands of divine providence. The mission and purpose of this group is to be an open minded group willing to explore the depths of diverse opinion, in a comfortable coffee-house type atmosphere.

By creating a welcoming, supportive, and safe space within the APTS community for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, and queer persons and allies, we hope to light the path for change both in and beyond the walls of APTS.

The Sharing Economy

The mission of the Sharing Economy student group is to promote the idea presented in Acts 4:32: "All those who believed were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had." By establishing a culture of sharing among the seminary community, we hope to encourage monetarily smarter living that will boost the sense of community among students, faculty, and staff.
