Austin Seminary MidWinters Begins Today, Feb. 4
Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary kicks off its MidWinters lectures and worship today, Feb. 4, with opening worship at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Karl Travis, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth. Over this three-day event, participants will hear from Elizabeth Hinson-Hasty, Margaret Aymer, and Joseph Small as they address topics relevant to today’s Christian ministry.
All lectures and worships will be recorded and made available on the Seminary website after the conclusion of MidWinters. Participants are invited to live tweet from the events using hashtag #midwin13.
MidWinters also serves as homecoming for alumni. Before opening worship, the classes of 1953, 1963, 1973, 1983, and 1993 will celebrate during a reunion dinner this evening with President Theodore J. Wardlaw and members of the Austin Seminary Association Board.
