Community Life
There is something special about life on the Austin Seminary campus - an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation that doesn't just come from the Texas sun. Students, faculty, staff, and administrators comprise one community where all are valued and honored for their different backgrounds, gifts, and callings. This understanding extends beyond the classroom; a spirit of collegiality and Christian fellowship unites all who work, live, and study on the Seminary campus.
At the heart of our life together are daily chapel services, led by rotating teams of students and faculty; other seasonal worship services and community-wide festivals augment the liturgical calendar. An active student senate sponsors weekly gatherings and occasional parties and picnics; the senate also provides space for interest-based student groups.
Welcome to the Office of Student Affairs and Vocation
The office of Student Affairs and Vocation (SAV) is here to help students and their families throughout their time at Austin Seminary by providing vocational and spiritual guidance. A visit to the SAV office on the second floor of tne McCord Building, students and their families will be welcomed in a warm, safe, caring environment where they can enjoy a refreshment, join a Spiritual Directions group, participate in community therapeutic puzzle building, and find a listening ear.
