Austin Seminary graduates are popping up everywhere. In its one hundred year plus history, Austin Seminary has touched the lives of more than 3,000 students. The Austin Seminary Alumni web page provides an on-line location for former classmates to catch up and share information about their lives, families, and ministries; it also serves to strengthen and maintain connections between the Seminary and its graduates.

“A Conversation on Scripture; Ours and Theirs"

For Austin Seminary alumni only

Led by the Reverend Dr. Whitney Bodman, associate professor of Comparative Religion
Date: October 28
Time: 11:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. (lunch served)
Cost: Free
Location: First Presbyterian Church
215 Locust Street Northeast | Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102

We will examine Bibles, Torahs, Qur’ans and other texts to explore the basic question of what a Scripture is. We use scripture all the time as pastors and teachers, but observation of a scripture as a physical object, compared to other scriptures, tells us much about our assumptions about what we are doing and how we are doing it. This will be a hands-on interaction.

Register here.
