What do the Methodists bring to the Body of Christ? Why is it important to carry this heritage into the future? What would be lost if the Methodist Church ceased to exist? Come and hear three leaders of the UMC respond to these questions and add your voice to the conversation.

Our guests will be Bishop James Dorff, bishop of the Southwest Texas Conference, chair of the Board of Higher Education and Ordained Ministry, United Methodist Church; the Reverend Barbara Day Miller, associate dean of Worship and Music, Candler School of Theology, Emory University; and the Reverend Dr. Ruben Saenz Jr., executive director of New Church Development and Transformation, Southwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Professor Lord will be inaugurated as full professor in The Dorothy B. Vickery chair of Homiletics and Liturgical Studies. She will give her inaugural address, "The Sunday Sermon: Liturgical Participation as Shared Authority." The service is open to all.
