DESCRIPTION

Sacred story carries the very presence and promise of God to those who hear and receive it. Biblical storytellers learn scripture by heart, to present it in an oral style that reflects the emotions and nuances of God's living Word. Storytelling is a multisensory spiritual discipline and can enrich a personal devotional life as well as a public worship service, class, or retreat, taking us deeper into the text than a brief reading can do. This workshop will explore techniques for learning and for performance for beginners; no experience is necessary.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Recommended for clergy, worship leaders, Christian educators, lay caregivers, Children's/ Youth ministry, chaplains
