Ministry with older adults can be a rich and rewarding experience for both the provider and recipient of pastoral care. Informed pastoral care providers are in a better position to facilitate conversations that offer opportunities for mutual blessing and intimate connection. Join us for a skill-enhancing program.

Presenters will focus on three areas of skill for engaging in pastoral care conversations with older people. These include:

• Conversing with people suffering from dementia
• Assessments and interventions around spiritual issues common to older people
• Mindfulness around facilitating mutual conversation without becoming the care recipient

Presenters will provide some content information but will mainly focus on caregiving scenarios and case studies. The format will include time for questions and answers and group discussion.
