Dear Friends,

I am thrilled to welcome the Reverend Lemuel Garcia-Arroyo to the position of Director of Alumni and Church Relations. Lemuel earned his Master of Divinity degree from Austin Seminary in 1995 and has since served the church in a variety of calls including work with PC(USA) institutions and middle councils. He will start on June 1, 2012, coming from his most recent call of Associate Presbyter of Presbytery of Salem.

As Director of Alumni and Church Relations, Lemuel will be responsible for advancing the mission and vision of Austin Seminary with the institution’s alumni and with churches within the Synod of the Sun. His love for the institution and the personal value he places on being in communion with others will truly be an asset as he connects with his fellow alums through a various events, communications and services designed to keep this constituency connected to both the institution and one another. Lemuel is passionate about developing ecumenical ties and looks forward to the opportunity to share the story of what God is doing at Austin Seminary with the church at large. Lemuel’s deep commitment to the church and love for Austin Seminary is contagious. Please help me in welcoming Lemuel to this position!
