Serving Around the World, On the Streets, For the Future of the Church

The buzz around campus the past few weeks has been all about Hebrew. Students have been feverishly studying and writing papers to the finish out the last leg of the semester. Beyond the books and studying, many of the students at Austin Seminary are actively engaged in ministry throughout the greater Austin area. This month, we wanted to highlight some of the work that three students in particular have been emersed in outside of their studies. Bonnie How, a first-year student, recently led her youth group on a short-term mission to Japan to participate in disaster relief. Lindsay Conrad, a middler student, has found a passion for working with the homeless population through Street Youth Ministry, and Mitch Kolls, a senior, leads the student ministry at a PC(USA) New Church Development.

We are also pleased to announce the hiring of Rev. Lemuel Garcia-Arroyo as the new Director of Alumni and Church Relations.
