About the Speaker
Dr. Mark Regnerus is an associate professor of sociology and religious studies and faculty research associate for the Population Research Center at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a graduate of Trinity Christian College, where he earned his bachelor in sociology. He also earned his masters and PhD in sociology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His primary research is in the field of sexual behavior, marriage and family, and religion. He has co-authored Premarital Sex in America: How Young Americans Meet, Mate, and Think about Marriage (Oxford University Press, 2011), as well as Forbidden Fruit: Sex and Religion in the Lives of American Teenagers (Oxford University Press, 2007).
