Ahh, summer in Austin!

Time to forget the thermometer and put your toes in the cool waters of Barton Springs or settle into a comfy chair at BookPeople and crack open that novel you've been saving since Christmas.

Here at Austin Seminary we've settled into a quieter rhythm. Our thirty-nine newly minted MDiv and MATS students have, for the most part, begun the next stage of their vocations, moving across town or across the country to new calls or residency programs. Our junior class is learning to parse Greek with Professor John Alsup, and some of our Doctor of Ministry students are on campus taking classes, beginning work on their doctoral projects, and soaking up time in a great (and air-conditioned!) theological library.

We invite you to "reed" what Professor Cynthia Rigby and Alumnus Richard Culp have to say about work, rest, and play, and then peruse--and add to--our suggested reading list!

Have fun!
